I'm retired after a career in healthcare helping people take care of themselves. Since retiring I have remained active taking classes in both secular and religious areas. I am by no means a Torah scholar but I enjoy learning more about the who, how, what and why certain practices exist. Being Jewish has always been an important part of my life and now I have the time to learn more about it. I have been to Israel several times and look forward to returning again. I attend services regularly and am active in the shul community.

I have had many different hobbies over the years. Some are just memories, and maybe I'll get back to them someday but the ones I'm still engaged in are photography, flame working with glass, kite flying, fishing, traveling and the best one of all, spending time with my granddaughter. I have also engaged in community service volunteering at a local food bank, a few different volunteer opportunities at a local hospital and at events for organizations that I support. I do the volunteering in part because it gives me a chance to help others, but I'm selfish and I like how it makes me feel.

I think that there is so much more to who I am then I have included here, but I'd rather spend time having it be part of a get to know you conversation that we can have after we introduce ourselves. I look forward to that introduction and to see where it takes us.
